    The Lake District is one of the most beautiful areas of England and we are in the heart of it. The event centre is based in Ambleside, which is a few miles north of the town of Windermere and a lot quieter. The routes are in the area between the lakes of Windermere and Coniston, with great views over both at some time in the ride. Ground conditions are generally good throughout the year so remain rideable in all weather. Saying that, there are a few hills in the area!! This might mean some pushing for a few short sections, but generally, if you have the lungs and legs, it's all 100% rideable. The Short route finishes along the Banks of Windermere whilst the Medium climbs to overlook Coniston before returning back to base.
